Little Darlings Room (3 – approx15 months)
Our Little Darlings Room is specially designed for babies, providing a safe, nurturing and homely environment where your child can grow, explore and develop.
We understand that these early months are vital for your baby’s development. Our experienced staff support each child’s milestones through a range of age-appropriate activities, including sensory play, music, story time and early social experiences. Every baby has a dedicated key person who builds strong relationships with both child and family, ensuring continuity of care and personalised support.
We follow safe sleep guidance and maintain consistent routines for feeding, sleeping and nappy changing, helping babies feel secure and settled. Our staff also work closely with parents to follow individual home routines and to support each child’s unique needs.

Daily Routines
Morning Welcome & Settling
- Arrival & greetings — Warm welcome, comfort items, and time to settle with key person.
- Free play exploration — Carpeted area, soft play, sensory baskets, and gentle activities.
- Nappy checks — Regular checks and changes throught the day.
Mid‑Morning
- Snack or bottle time — Highchairs used for safe feeding and early independence.
- Outdoor play — Fresh air, sensory experiences, push‑along toys, nature exploration.
- Focused activities — Soft play climbing, tummy time, music, stories, or messy play.
Lunch & Rest
- Lunch in highchairs — Calm mealtime with support and encouragement.
- Sleep routine — Individual cots, soothing environment, comforters, and monitored rest.
Afternoon
- Wake‑up & quiet time — Gentle transitions, cuddles, books, and sensory toys.
- Free play & exploration — Play kitchen, carpeted area, soft play, heuristic resources.
- Outdoor experiences — Water play, bubbles, textures, seasonal nature activities.
End of Day
- Nappy checks — Final changes and comfort.
- Calm wind‑down — Soft music, cosy corner, gentle play.
- Home time handover — Key person shares updates, sleep, meals, and activities.
Our baby room is well equipped with:
- Cots — Safe, comfortable individual sleep spaces.
- Highchairs — Supportive seating for feeding, early independence, and social mealtimes.
- Carpeted play area — A soft, cosy zone for tummy time, crawling, floor play, and early movement.
- Soft play — Cushioned blocks, and shapes that encourage safe climbing, balance, and gross‑motor exploration.
- Play kitchen — Early role‑play opportunities that support communication, imitation, and social development.
- Outdoor play — Daily access to fresh air, natural materials, physical challenges, and sensory exploration.
- Outdoor experiences — Water play, nature walks, textures, sounds, and seasonal exploration to support curiosity and development.
